Following 2 years of market development effort Intrahealth established an office in Vancouver, British Columbia during 2005 following notification of success in securing the contract to provide the technology solution for the Fraser Health Authority.

This is an exciting period in Intrahealth’s continuing expansion with the current regeneration programmes within Canadian health expected to provide significant opportunities for Intrahealth in the near term. Developments of leading solutions to enable the delivery and improvement of health outcomes in the Canadian market will also benefit both the Australian and New Zealand markets given the high degree of collaboration and incidence of consistent health policy.

Expansion into Canada marks a “coming of age” for Intrahealth and its technology. Current levels of investment in health technology within the Canadian market in support of renewal programmes are expected to drive the rapid acceleration of health technology enablement. Significant opportunities are expected to develop in Canada in the short term involving our full product range including:

  1. Profile (practice management and electronic medical record for general and specialist practice)
  2. Health Care Community (HCC, a case management and workflow system)
  3. InSync (population health)
  4. Accession (a consumer product allowing access to their health information and eCommerce).
