In early 2018 Intrahealth met with the Ministry of Health (MoH) to understand the architecture and requirements to implement the NZePS. At this workshop it was identified that there were a few limiting factors to the architecture. The original architecture was designed around a specific Practice Management System (PMS) vendor. The MoH went back to the drawing board to update their architecture and work on an API to communicate directly with the NZePS service (for those techies -- RESTful service secured with OAuth 2). Intrahealth will be attending a MoH workshop on the 19th March to learn more and provide input to the solution design. At this stage, for us to start developing we have been given an indicative date that the API will be ready at the end of the year.
